Great location, lovely view. Large spacious rooms, comfortable bed. Blackout curtains that were really effective. Excellent customer service with helpful, friendly and kind staff.

The castle was lovely and the staff were great, and they brought breakfast in bed on my partner's 70th birthday on request and sang happy birthday which was nice, the bar staff was nice and friendly and did have a lovely meal one night of our stay.

The location was absolutely beautiful and we love exploring the grounds. The castle itself had some beautifully kept and well-maintained main rooms that were fun to look at. It was like stepping back in time.

I loved this hotel so much! It was absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Our room was very large and very on theme. We were there at Xmas and the hotel was decorated beautifully. There was a lovely bar area as well as a delicious restaurant. I didn't want to leave! It was a magical stay. There is a bus stop at the end of the very long drive with very easy connections into the city. The walk to the road is quite long...especially in the dark though.

We loved the food, absolutely outstanding. The whole feel of the place gave us an insight into what it would feel like to be Henry VIII kicking back relaxing after a long, hard day of beheading people. We were immersed in the surroundings of a beautiful castle with no expense spared on the interior. What a lovely little gem it was. Next time, I would definitely spend more than one night there to see more of the local area. Overall, it was fantastic.

Staying at this castle hotel was like stepping into a fairytale! The historic charm and grandeur of the architecture, combined with luxurious modern amenities, made for an unforgettable experience. The rooms were spacious and elegantly decorated, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The staff provided exceptional service, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. Dining in the castle's grand hall was a magical experience, and the on-site activities, like guided tours and scenic walks, added to the enchantment. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a unique and regal getaway!

The room was beautiful and spacious, the decor fit the castle, and the bathroom was modern and well equipped. The beds are super comfy. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, and the continental breakfast had great variety. Location is ideal for someone wanting to explore Edinburgh whilst not being in the heart of the city. It takes around 23-25 minutes in a taxi/Uber, or there's plenty of parking on the grounds. They are also super dog friendly, which we did not know, we are hoping to return with our pup 😀
